Gateway to Paradiski Karen Anderson, Ski Specialist

"In my opinion Vallandry must have one of the most perfect locations in the Alps, it truly has doorstep skiing! Intermediates are extremely well catered for here with a huge variety of runs from smooth cruising blues to challenging reds. The trees above Vallandry are great fun especially when it's chucking it down with snow and you can't see your way around the pistes."

Dining in Peisey-Vallandry

There are more than 20 places to eat dotted around the different hamlets making up Peisey-Vallandry, with the greatest concentration slopeside at Plan Peisey and Peisey Nanroix.

With the area’s strong reputation for being a genuine, traditional French community you would be right to expect that many of these establishments are small, family run establishments using ingredients sourced from local farms in their cuisine. You’d be right about that but there’s a mix of old and new, as the rapid development that followed the opening of the Vanoise Express led to a lot of new building in traditional style allowing more restaurants to open.

Established options include rustic La Ferme in Plan Peisey or Le Relais des 3 Stations in Peisey-Nancroix. For Italian try Le Solan which also delivers if you want to eat in but not cook.
