Exclusively Swiss Aodhan Boylan, Ski Specialist

"Verbier has always attracted the smart après-ski set as well as those more interested in its epic terrain and famous powder skiing. In recent years, the choice of boutique hotels, bars and restaurants in town has grown but Verbier still retains a charming laid back vibe. I'd recommend skiing from the top of the Mont Fort glacier all the way down to bottom of the Medran before rewarding yourself with a well earned cocktail at the Farinet."

Verbier Ski Holidays

Verbier is undoubtedly the place to see and be seen! The ski area and party atmosphere means Verbier has long been a favourite with the rich, famous, and powder junkies, who go for the exceptional off piste terrain.

Boasting some of the most exciting and demanding terrain in the Alpes, Verbier is the ideal location for those looking to push themselves and test their skills both on and off-piste. But with 23 blue and 26 red runs the resort also caters happily for the less powder hungry skier.

For dining Verbier is host to a wonderful variety of delicious restaurants, from La Cordée des Alpes where haute cuisine meets the mountains under the watchful eye of Michelin star chef Marco Bassi to the traditional and cosy Chez Danny where the more adventurous can reserve a snowmobile taxi up the mountain and sledge down on their return journey.

For après-ski Verbier stages some of the best parties in the Alpes, start your evening at the Farinet Lounge bar which hosts live bands every evening throughout the season and once you are well watered head along later to the Farm Club, a Verbier institution and the best place to dance the night away.

Skiing in Verbier

Verbier sits amidst the 4 Valley's ski area which includes 412km of pistes and caters well for all abilities looking for a snow-sure resort. Experts will enjoy the challenging pistes and limitless off piste opportunities. The front face of Mont Fort is a famously tough mogul field, and whether you ride the cable car to access the skiing there or just to take in the incredible views, it’s well worth it.

Off the Slopes

A top destination for people watching and celebrity spotting, Verbier boasts some of the best après-ski and nightlife in the Swiss Alps and with a vast range of shops, bars and restaurants it caters to those who enjoy the finer things in life. There are also plenty of non-skiing activities on offer in resort including sledging, snowshoeing, ice skating and paragliding.
