Jackson Hole, Ski Legend Karen Anderson, Senior Ski Specialist

"There’s an authenticity about Jackson Hole that is truly unique. You can ski some of the world’s best, and most scenic, terrain by day, and line dance with cowboys at night! "

Jackson Hole Ski Holidays

Jackson Hole is a truly unique and special resort offering some of the very best skiing and snow on the planet - it's the big daddy of the North American big mountain ski scene and one of the world's must-visit ski resorts. The terrain is legendary - a heady mix of fall-line trails, bumps, glades, steeps and chutes with Corbet's Couloir waiting to swallow up the brave or the foolhardy. We wouldn't necessarily recommended a Jackson Hole ski holiday for complete novices, but for intermediate skiers and above the recommendation couldn't be stronger. If you’re looking for genuine world-class skiing with stunning snow and an authentic experience off the mountain, Jackson Hole is the place to be.

Our resort accommodation is located either at Teton Village right at the base of the mountain, or in the town of Jackson Hole around 12 miles away. For pure ski convenience Teton Village gets the nod, but if you want a taste of a real cowboy town with genuine western heritage then choose one of our properties in downtown Jackson Hole.

Skiing in Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole features 2500+ acres of awesome inbounds ski terrain with a massive 4,139ft vertical spread over two mountains – Rendezvous and Après Vous. Winter 2017-18 brought a monster 42ft of snow, and with a historical annual average snowfall of over 38ft, Jackson Hole has one of the biggest snow records in North America. Back that up with 12 ski lifts including two gondolas and a world-famous 100 passenger aerial tram and it’s easy to see why Jackson Hole can compete with the very best!

NEW for winter 2018-19 is Solitude Station, located mid-station on the 8-person Sweetwater Gondola. This is a short two-minute ride from the village base and will provide an enhanced Snow School experience for kids aged 7 years and older and adult lessons for all abilities. As well as new dining and equipment rental facilities, Solitude Station provides a new learning hub for beginners making their first tentative turns, away from the hustle and bustle of the base area.

Intermediate skiers and riders get a 40% slice of the powder pie at Jackson with some fantastic wide open groomers off the Après Vous and Casper quad chairs, with some beautiful widely spaced tree runs, and a few slightly more testy fall-line trails. The Bridger Gondola gives you even more with some huge top to bottom cruisers such as ‘Amphitheatre’ onto ‘Gros Ventre’. As you move towards the main event – Rendezvous Mountain – the trails become steeper and more fall-line orientated. There are a few intermediate trails here, but they tend to be traverse lines – you have been warned…

If your idea of fun is clipping a caution sign as you dip down into yet another impossibly steep chute, if you get so excited when you ski that you can’t help letting out the occasional yelp – then you have to experience skiing Rendezvous mountain. Accessed by the valley-to-summit Aerial Tram, this is where the big boys & girls ski. From 10,450ft at the summit the view of the surrounding Grand Teton range and north towards Yellowstone National Park is outstanding. From here you have over 4,000ft vertical of fall-line lunacy – steeps, faces, bumps, chutes. Incredible! With 50% of the total ski terrain designated as ‘expert or advanced’, and 75 black or double black diamond trails to tempt you, it’s hard not to put Jackson Hole at the top of your ‘must do’ list.

Complete your ski day with some truly outrageous après and live music at the Mangy Moose at Teton Village before heading into town for some Cowboy Bar action.

We offer a full range of discounted Jackson Hole lift tickets, ski & snowboard rentals and snow school lessons and we always recommend you book early for our very best prices.
