"Panorama is hard to beat following the monstrous 128 acre expansion of Taynton Bowl, bringing four brand-new double black diamond runs. This new terrain is the kind dreams are made of - heliskiing, but without the helicopter! "

Skiing in Panorama

Panorama is the perfect choice for beginners, intermediates and families, has uncrowded slopes and lift queues are a rarity. There's a fantastic ski school and Panorama sells itself on being a relaxed, hassle-free ski resort to spend quality time with family and friends. Of course there's always terrain to keep experts happy and we'd highly recommend Taynton Bowl or, for the very adventurous, Panorama is the base for access to one of the world's largest heli-ski areas. Some off the off-piste here is sensational, the cruising trails from the summit just seem to go on and on, and with the new terrain expansion the longest run is a staggering 6.5kms!

Panorama now features over 4,265 vertical feet (bigger even than Jackson Hole) and 2,975 patrolled acres of beginner, intermediate and expert terrain accessed via 10 lifts. Skiers and boarders won't want to miss Panorama's Taynton Bowl. Formerly exclusive heli-skiing terrain, Taynton Bowl is now lift accessed backcountry style skiing incorporated into Panorama's official boundary. Last winter, Panorama welcomed a monstrous 128-acre (52 hectare) expansion of Taynton Bowl, the resort’s off-piste backcountry style terrain. It was the first phase of a multi-stage terrain expansion, opening up a new alpine zone to skiers and riders. Skiers are able to access the highest point of this terrain by a custom built, 13 passenger snowcat. The Monster X, is equipped with plush seating and a pumping sound system and offers a journey up that’s just as much fun as the descent that follows. The expansion to Taynton Bowl brings four brand-new double black diamond runs. This new terrain is the kind dreams are made of - heliskiing, but without the helicopter! This was phase one of Panorama's exciting 500 acre expansion plan which is now set to become reality over the next few years.

NEW for winter 2019-20 is phase #2 of Panorama’s monstrous terrain expansion into Taynton Bowl. Another four huge, steep and deep, double-black diamond runs are due to open on the East side of Taynton, bringing even more expert terrain to this already super-stacked zone!

Panorama has good options for freestylers at the Rockstar Terrain Park. For those looking to find their freestyle feet then there is a Small-Medium Park, which has all the same facilities of the Rockstar Park but smaller versions.

Panorama is renowned for its boutique alpine dining scene, and now the resort kicked things up a notch with the addition of the first snowcat food truck in Canada. A professional kitchen installed on a Prinoth snow groomer, the Snowlicious Mobile Kitchen offers a casual alfresco experience right on the slopes. The snowcat food truck roams all over the mountain, and is the perfect place to grab lunch between powder runs.

Free daily mountain tours with Panorama's team of Mountain Friends are on offer at the base of the Mile 1 Quad.

We offer a full range of discounted Panorama lift tickets, ski & snowboard rentals and snow school lessons and we always recommend you book early for our very best prices.
