The Skiing Elite Claire Erskine, European Product Manager

"I have a real soft spot for Lech. The stunning, traditional village provides access to an intermediate skier’s paradise and now linked to St Anton, there’s plenty of tougher skiing up for grabs! "

Dining in Lech

Lech boasts more award-winning restaurants than any other village in Austria, making eating out a real treat every night! For a gastronomic experience, visit the Post-Stuben at the Hotel Gasthof Post. This is a one Michelin star restaurant and from personal experience, the food is outstanding. You can also sample a traditional Austrian meal in the Kutscherstube, which is also located in the Hotel Gasthof Post.

In fact there are a number of places you can visit for a traditional Austrian meal. Particularly recommended ones are Hus Nr. 8, which is approximately 300 years old and has been restored to its original condition; Pfefferkorn’s Restaurant which has a fantastic panoramic sun terrace; and Rud-Alpe – this is described as the ‘original’ cabin. The Skihutte Schneggarei serves wood stove pizzas as well as great children’s meals.

If it's an Italian meal that you're after, you should head to Restaurant Ambrosius Passage. Fancy something other than the traditional Alpine meal? Then opt for Fux which is trendy and contemporary restaurant. Downstairs is an American steakhouse and upstairs, you can sample Asian food.
