The Velvet Restaurant & Lounge (The Josie Hotel)
Located in the new luxury Josie Hotel at the base of the slopes at Red Mountain, the Velvet has a huge 360 degree bar perfect for après. Expect a full range of excellent locally brewed drafts from Rossland, Fernie and Nelson as well as a comprehensive wine list and bespoke cocktails on offer. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features a fantastic French-inspired menu from Executive Chef, Marc-Andre Choquette. The menu varies seasonally, but if the Pan-Seared Salmon is on the menu you need to try it – Pan Seared Salmon, with fingerling potatoes, chorizo, leeks, romesco sauce, citrus & squid ink crisp!
Rafters Lounge (top floor of the Day Lodge at Red)
Powder Magazine ranked Rafters as the #1 Ski Area Bar in North America. Enough said, but we’ll say it anyway. This is a world-famous historic bar with a well-worn feel and stacked to the errr…rafters with ski lore of years gone by – a classic watering hole which locals and tourists alike will appreciate. Dinner is available Wed to Sat until 9pm and children are welcome. Later on it gets gnarly, with live music, dancing and mayhem. Enjoy.
The Flying Steamshovel (downtown Rossland)
Lovingly known as the Shovel, the Flying Steamshovel is a gastro-pub located in downtown Rossland and is one of the oldest pubs in BC. It features great food with 14 craft beers on tap, a BC focused wine list and hand-crafted cocktails. Expect big-screen TVs, a pool table, live music and a late licence.

This award-winning brewery in downtown Rossland is well worth a visit. Owned and operated by best friends Petri Raito and Ryan Arnaud, the brewery features a series of quality hand-crafted beers such as Helter Smelter Amber Ale and Paydirt Pal Ale. Get down to their tasting room and sip away.
