Winter Park Ski Holidays
Winter Park is Colorado’s longest continually operated ski resort with a 75+ year history, and is the closest resort we feature to Denver. The resort sits up close to the Continental Divide at 9,000ft with a summit elevation of over 12,000ft, and features 3,000+ acres of wonderfully varied ski terrain spread over seven unique ‘territories’ combining to give 165 named trails served by 25 lifts. Winter Park offers fantastic skiing and boarding for all abilities and all ages, backed up with plenty of light, dry Colorado powder, and around 300 days of sunshine.
Winter Park’s purpose-built pedestrianised mountain village sits right at the base of the mountain offering a nice selection of slopeside lodging, a few lively bars and cafes plus some great restaurants and shops, and is within a few steps of the snow school meeting point and the Zephyr Express lift. The little mountain town of Winter Park is a short free five minute shuttle ride down the valley, where you’ll find an extended selection of shops, bars and restaurants to add to the mix.
Skiing in Winter Park
Winter Park’s 3,081 acres of award-winning terrain will test every level of skier and rider across seven unique and interlinked 'Territories' - each territory is a different area of the mountain and all bring something a little different to the party.
Winter Park Territory is firmly stamped ‘family skiing’ with long cruising green and blue groomers on offer plus a spattering of black diamond options to keep even the more adventurous family members smiling. Eagle Wind Territory offers fantastic tree-skiing and some of the best gladed skiing in Colorado – find the ‘Tree of Skulls’ at your peril. Make no mistake through – this is a 300 acre black diamond zone of awesomeness. Parsenn Bowl Territory sits at the top of the mountain at over 12,000ft. Here you’ll find open bowl, high alpine skiing with panoramic views of the surrounding Rockies, and on a powder day, this is the territory to make tracks for. Terrain Park Territory is best for practicing jibs and jumps and rails on 80+ innovative and progressive features that are constantly evolving to ensure the dial is always set close to max. Vasquez Ridge Territory is ‘off the beaten path’ powder stash central. Enough said. Cirque Territory is unashamedly double black diamond extreme terrain for experts only, with steeps, drops, cliffs and cornices, offering the excitement of un-tamed back-country skiing in an inbounds setting. Finally there’s the world-famous bumps at Mary Jane Territory - expect long challenging mogul runs down through the trees, but also a selection of blues to chill out on too.
We offer a full range of discounted Winter Park lift tickets, ski & snowboard rentals and snow school lessons and we always recommend you book early for our very best prices.
