Play Hard. Play Here. David Rebus, Ski Specialist

"Winter Park has the shortest transfer time from Denver of all the Colorado resorts we feature and so is an ideal choice for families. The base area has seen huge investment with more lodging choices, bars and restaurants to add to the choices a little along the road in town. There's ski terrain to suit all abilities and a Winter Park holiday offers exceptional value when compared with some of it's glitzier Colorado neighbours"

Winter Park Ski Holidays

Winter Park, Colorado offers fantastic skiing and boarding for all abilities and is within a short transfer of Denver airport.

With the recent addition of a new mountain village, expanding ski area and great value accommodation, Winter Park is quickly becoming a very popular choice for British skiers.

Spread between the mountain village and Winter Park town, accommodation options include ski-in/ski-out hotels and luxury self-catered condos and are all served either by the aerial cabriolet lift or the complimentary resort ski shuttle.

Skiing in Winter Park

3,081 acres of terrain will test every level of skier at Winter Park, across seven 'Territories' - everyone will feel a tingle of excitement at their first breath of the crisp Colorado air. The award-winning Discovery Park and greens on the lower slopes of Winter Park Mountain are dotted with smiling kids and beginners making breakthroughs and learning new skills.

Over on Mary Jane those with a passion for heart-stopping bumps, chutes and tree runs can wear out their knees and burn up their quads. They say here 'No pain, No Jane.' - and they mean it. There are also some blue runs on Mary Jane to ease the cautious into the joys of pursuing rush after rush of adrenaline fuelled pleasure. Bluebell is a long trail that won't bring tears to your eyes - instead it's a cruiser's retreat with amazing views over to Berthoud Pass. For more outstanding views that give a true sense of skiing in the wilderness, ride the Timberline to Parsenn Bowl, at 12,060 this is true high alpine skiing. Wide empty spaces, beautiful glades and a landscape of cinematic proportions - this could well be the ridge 'Where the West commences.' All the skiing here is well within the range of competent intermediates.

Over on Vasquez Ridge the fun continues. Everything off to the right at the top of Pioneer Express is perfect intermediate skiing - trips on this lift interspersed with dips down to the Olympia Express offer endless variety. Then there are a few single black diamonds to test your mettle - just short little blasts of action - nothing too outrageous. From here it's easy enough to dash back to the Sunspot at the top of Winter Park Mountain for a spot of lunchtime nosh - the beautiful pine lodge has gigantic windows with mystical views. They also serve dinner up here a couple of nights a week for a sense of romantic isolated splendour.

We offer a full range of discounted Winter Park lift tickets, ski & snowboard rentals and snow school lessons and we always recommend you book early for our very best prices.
