"Great mountain restaurants, lovely French ambience, picturesque village and superb slopes for all abilities. What more could you want?"

Dining in Megève

Megève has a large number of restaurants and below is just a small selection.

Advanced reservations of restaurants are strongly recommended, especially during the hours of 7pm – 9pm. For busy periods, such as the Festive Season and Easter, and for larger parties, this is even more important.

The dress code in Megève is comfortable and casual. Some people do choose to dress up, but it is certainly not a requirement.

Le Vieux Megève

A traditional Savoyard restaurant which is right next to the outdoor ice rink. You can enjoy a variety of Savoyard dishes including Raclette, fondue and they serve a fantastic Tartiflette. Can get busy at the weekends.

Brasserie Centrale

Perfect for families and right next to the main square. Watch Megève walk by the window as you enjoy a pizza, burger or try a fondue or Raclette. Worth booking early especially over school holidays.

Cintra

Cintra is right in the centre square and specializes in seafood. Sit and enjoy a champagne cocktail as an aperitif in the lounge area while you wait for your table.

Les Enfants Terribles

This upbeat and upmarket restaurant is right next to the Mont Blanc hotel and serves a mainly French menu. Its generous portions include ingredients such as veal, sole and beef.

Flocons De Sel

This 3 Michelin star restaurant is located to the side of the old church tucked away in a back street. It serves up excellent food in a not-too-formal atmosphere. Some of the favorite dishes include chicken poached in hazelnut milk and warm Cray Fish from Lake Geneva. Reservations are a must.

Flocons Village

The more modest branch of its famous sister restaurant Flocons de Sel, Flocons Village offers top quality but simpler fare and is therefore considered a good value option, popular with locals.

Le Prieuré

A real favourite! This great restaurant is right next to the church and has good and friendly service. The set menus are not only very good value but excellent, combining many flavors from the Haute Savoie region. Specialties include swordfish and locally cured ham.

Le Puck

Situated next to the outdoor ice rink Le Puck combines good service, a reasonably priced wine list and an informal atmosphere. Watch the skaters as you enjoy the pork and mushrooms followed by the amazing white chocolate mousse with apricots.

Megève is also home to some of the world's best mountain restaurants, including L'Idéal and La Ravière.
