High Altitude Family Favourite Michael Bennett, Managing Director

"Ski-in/ski-out Avoriaz is the ideal resort for families. The facilities there are great, the views are stunning and the short transfer from Geneva make it my first choice for a family holiday. "

Après Ski in Avoriaz

Avoriaz receives a large number of international guests from the UK and other northern European nations, helping to keep the atmosphere fun, with an international vibe and several lively bars and restaurants – usually more so than the French norm. There are however also more sophisticated lounge bars and restaurants to be found too if you’d prefer a quieter evening out.

You can rely on Le Yeti to provide a lively and buzzing atmosphere with outdoor, slopeside seating and it also serves food into the afternoon. An ideal setting for a few drinks after a long day skiing. Alternatively, check out the bar at Hotel des Dromonts

You’re guaranteed to find live music at The Place, which is always a popular choice for some post ski entertainment (dancing on the tables is not an uncommon sight!) or if you prefer something a bit more relaxed then the Tavillion and Globetrotters are good choices. If you're looking to stay out late, Le Yak is Avoriaz's only nightclub and the only place open after 2am.

For alternative après, many activities can be enjoyed in the late afternoon and evening including bowling, snowmobiling and ice skating. We recommend a visit to the Aquariaz indoor water park which features an incredible selection of water features, slides and pools in a tropical setting which kids (and adults) will love.  **Please note Aquariaz is shut until further notice**
