USA Snowbird Ski Holidays

More Snow. More Steeps. Less People.

Snowbird Ski Holiday Guide

Snowbird is pressed between the steep jagged mountains of Little Cottonwood Canyon - just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City. It is by far the most photogenic of the North American resorts - the dramatic modernist style of the buildings stands boldly against the backdrop of the rugged alpine scenery and the resort projects an air of sixties 'Bond' glamour.

Skiers can now enjoy over 5,000 continuous acres of legendary downhill terrain at Snowbird and Alta on the one combined ticket.

Skiing in Snowbird

Snowbird has a reputation of mythical proportions - it offers unparalleled skiing for advanced skiers. But it's also a fantastic place for enthusiastic intermediates with a taste for a steeper pitch and exquisite snow conditions.

The Aerial Tram - the signature lift at Snowbird - rises for a staggering 2,900 feet to Hidden Peak, which is about as much vertical as you can hope to get without heli-support. There is also a link with neighbouring powder capital Alta (No Snowboarding). Another attraction is the guided backcountry tours. If you've always wanted to get into those legendary powder caches but haven't the know-how or equipment to do it; this is the program for you.
