Pre-bookable seating

All passengers now have the option of paying in advance for pre-assigned seating until 24 hours prior to departure. To allow you access to this functionality we need to take payment for the flight element of your booking in full, and we will then issue your flight tickets. You will then be able to access your flight booking on www.ba.com under the ‘Manage My Booking’ section and choose your seats – payment can be made with your credit card. If you are a British Airways Executive Club member (Silver or above) you will be able to pre-book free seats in advance. For all bookings that include infants, free seats will be pre-booked for you at time of booking. For bookings that include children, British Airways will automatically pre-allocate free seats 72 hours before your flight departs, however, you can only alter these seats when online check-in opens 24 hours prior to flight departure. For everyone else the only way to secure the free seat of your choice is by checking in online from 24 hours before your flight departs. The earlier you check-in the greater the choice of seats you will have. Once a seat has been chosen it will not be changed, subject only to rare operational requirements.

Special meals

Should any of your party require a special meal such as vegetarian, kosher or child meal on the long-haul sections of your flight booking then this must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll ensure these items are added. Please remember that meal types are limited, so if you have very specific needs then it is best to take your own food with you.

Special requests

If any of your party require special assistance we can arrange this at all airports – please call us so we can assess the correct level of assistance you require. If you have food allergies or are carrying an Epi-pen or injectable medication, or if there is anything else the cabin crew should be aware of confidentially, please call us for advice on 0131 243 8097.
