"If you like long blue groomed cruisers “Buddy’s Run” in Steamboat will be your cup of tea. It’s a good pitch and nice and long – perfect to practice those big GS turns. It was named after Buddy Werner who was a member of the US ski team way back in the 60’s and was a local to Steamboat"

Childcare in Steamboat

Steamboat has been voted the #1 Family Resort in North America thanks to the town's family-friendly atmosphere, the great variety of slopes, lesson options for the little ones, day and night child care facilities, and the Kids Ski Free/Kids Rent Free programs.

Whether a recent arrival to snow or an experienced skier, taking care of the littlest guests has always been a priority at Steamboat.

The resort holds a national reputation for the best children’s programs in the country and the latest move adds to a plethora of family specific improvements over the past several years.

The Kids’ Vacation Center’s added a new slopeside entrance in 2009 and an additional 3,000 sq. ft., nearly a 40% increase, to the comprehensive children’s complex. Young snow enthusiasts are whisked into a redesigned kid-friendly, western-themed facility with the overall goal of expediting check-in, streamlining functionality, augmenting security and delivering a better family experience.

Steamboat offers excellent childcare at the Kiddie Corral Daycare from 6months – 6 years. The children will be in groups appropriate to their ages and have fun packed days of games and play.

In the evening, there is the Kids Adventure Camp at Night. It is available for 5 - 12 year olds and operates during school holidays on a Wednesday – Saturday evening from 6pm – 10pm. Is the ideal way to keep you kids entertained when you go out for an adult’s dinner! Reservations are required by 4.30pm on the day you would like to use the facility.

In addition, babysitting can be organised.
