"A ski holiday in La Thuile allows you to sample the best of both Italy and France in one trip. Ski over to La Rosière in France during the day and enjoy a traditional French lunch before making your way back to La Thuile in the afternoon to finish your day with a typically Italian aperitivo. With quiet slopes and an efficient lift system, what’s not to love about La Thuile? "

Après Ski in La Thuile

Après-ski in La Thuile is a very low-key affair and so the resort is perhaps most suited to those looking for a relaxing getaway. Bars and cafés serve aperitivi in the early evening and these are often accompanied with snacks and nibbles.

La Cage Aux Folles Pub is one of the more lively spots for après close to the slopes while Angela’s Café offers a truly authentic Italian bar experience. No trip to the Valle d’Aosta is complete without experiencing the famous Coppa dell’Amicizia (roughly translated as cup of friendship). This is a sort of wooden bowl with a lid and several holes from which you can drink. The bowl is filled with “Valdostana coffee” (espresso and grappa) and the bowl is passed from one person to the other without ever being put down!
