Italian and French Blend Claire Erskine, Product Manager

"A ski holiday in La Thuile allows you to sample the best of both Italy and France in one trip. Ski over to La Rosière in France during the day and enjoy a traditional French lunch before making your way back to La Thuile in the afternoon to finish your day with a typically Italian aperitivo. With quiet slopes and an efficient lift system, what’s not to love about La Thuile? "

Activities in La Thuile

Skiers and non-skiers alike will enjoy the spa at the Hotel Montana Lodge & Spa with swimming pool, steam room, sauna and a range of treatments available for the ultimate pampering experience. Non-skiers will enjoy spending some time in the nearby historic village of Courmayeur (accessible by bus) with a larger selection of shops, charming architecture and narrow streets.

There is also a 300m² eco-friendly outdoor ice rink in La Thuile. Once you’ve finished skating, why not warm up with a delicious hot chocolate from La Thuile’s famous chocolatier? Aptly named ‘Chocolat’, you will find a variety of infused hot chocolates and delicious chocolate products. There’s also an indoor climbing wall in the public sports centre which is open in the evenings and has something to suit all levels.

Zerovertigo Mountain Guides organise snowshoeing excursions in La Thuile, including a day out combining snowshoeing with a visit to the ‘Grotta delle Fontine’ (literally cave of cheeses). Here you can sample the local Fontina cheese (along with a typical wine from the region) and learn about its production.
