Après-Ski in Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère is renowned for its après-ski scene with plenty of busy bars to help keep you amused well into the early hours.

For lively entertainment, table dancing and excessive amounts of champagne before you even get off the slopes, the Folie Douce is the place to begin your après-ski.

In the resort itself Cocorico at the bottom of the slopes offers some incredible music and an electric atmosphere. The legendary Bananas is located right at the base of the mountain so is perfect for an après-ski drink or something to eat. For a proper pub atmosphere with a Scandinavian twist, try Le Petit Danois - this is a busy hangout throughout the season and there's live music and a happy hour.

For a more sophisticated feel, we think nothing beats cocktails at Le Blizzard with its sumptuous sofas and impecabble service. If you want to make friends with the locals, Le XV at the lower end of the village has a more French vibe.

Val d’Isère’s most famous night club, open since 1979, is Dick’s Tea Bar.
