World-Class Resort Catherine Hughes, Extras & After Sales Manager Europe

"Méribel is located in the centre of the 3 Valleys ski area, so you have easy access to a vast amount of world-class skiing. Méribel itself is lively with lots of bars and restaurants. However, if you’re looking for slightly quieter location I would recommend staying in Méribel Village in Les Fermes de Méribel. These apartments worked perfectly for our group and the facilities on hand were excellent."

Activities in Méribel & Mottaret

As well as skiing there is a wide choice of activities available in Méribel including dog sledding, ice climbing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

Have a go at biathlon (a combination of cross country skiing and target shooting) in Méribel at the official Altiport site, home to the French Championships (available through the ESF).

You can get in the air above the resort if you wish by paragliding or taking a scenic flight from the local altiport.

Méribel has lots to do off the ski slopes too. Indoor options include two cinemas (one in Méribel, the other in Mottaret), a bowling centre and library and you can take the gondola down to Brides Les Bains to visit the spa or casino. The excellent Olympic centre in La Chaudanne has an ice rink, swimming pool, gym and spa centre.

Back out on the snow, you can go on an all terrain Segway tour; there are also 25km of marked and maintained winter walking paths (you can pick up a guide at the tourist information centre). There's also a horse riding centre which can offer ski joering, pony sledging or scenic horse sleigh rides in the snow.

Cross-country skiers will be spoilt for choice with 33km of tracks in the Méribel Valley alone and up to 90km including nearby Courchevel and La Tania.
