Dining in Avoriaz
There are more than two dozen restaurants in Avoriaz, predominantly serving traditional French cuisine, along with Italian favourites like pizza and pasta and of course, fast food. For those in search of some refinement however, Les Enfants Terribles in the Hotel des Dromonts is a chic bistro serving up great French classics. In addition you may want to try La Cabane in the village centre – our Managing Director’s favourite spot!
Many of the options are small, family-run bistros which will serve you from a menu ranging from a simple crêpe through to a tasty fondue or raclette.
La Boule de Neige, a resort institution in Place Centrale, is highly regarded for its pizzas. Au Briska offers a varied menu including local specialities as well as traditional French dishes including foie gras, steaks and several truffle dishes which are also possible to order as a 'truffle menu'. The Residence Amara's on-site restaurants include the upscale Le Grand Café which is popular for lunches and dinner and also welcomes children, offering a separate kids menu. Le 66 is worth a visit (although isn’t open during quieter periods) and Le Lodge has a lovely terrace looking down the valley.
We advise making reservations for eating out, particularly on peak dates.
