For a wider selection of regional airport departures we are able to book a number of alternative airlines for European destinations. These offer a no frills service with an in-flight service limited to drinks & snacks which you purchase on board.
We can book the following low-cost airlines:
Please be advised that we charge a modest administration fee for bookings with low-cost airlines, however, booking the flights and accommodation with us will provide you with financial peace of mind under our bonding schemes.
Flying with Low-cost Airlines
These are ticketless airlines. If you book your flights with Ski Independence you will receive a recap of your flight details on your booking confirmation and holiday itinerary. Please read through this carefully for information on what is included in the price, check-in details and baggage allowance.
All airlines' check-in policies vary. If you book easyJet flights with Ski Independence we will complete check-in on you behalf and send your boarding passes with your final holiday documentation pack.
For all other low-cost airlines, if you book your flights with Ski Independence, unless otherwise stated, check-in is at the airport and not available online. We strongly advise you to arrive a minimum of one hour prior to departure.
Unless specifically requested, we will not pre-book seating for you. Most airlines have a free seating policy but we advise you to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Baggage allowances vary between airlines. If you book your flights with Ski Independence the amount of hold luggage pre-booked and paid for will show on your holiday itinerary. If you require more baggage allowance then please advise us in advance to avoid hefty additional airport charges.
Ski and Snowboard Equipment Carriage
All low-cost airlines charge for ski carriage and this cost varies. For any ski or snowboard equipment you wish to carry on a low-cost airline you should pre-book these on the flight at the time of booking and there will be an extra charge.
