Zip Trek Eco Tours are a hair raising pursuit come snow or sun, operating throughout the winter and summer seasons they provide the perfect après-ski activity for kids (6 and over) and grown-ups alike. Whistler has long been a Mecca for skiers and snowboarders, so what continues to draw such a varied international audience to this destination year after year?

Certainly the resort benefitted from playing host to the Winter Olympics in 2010 – not only was the resort beamed into millions of homes for 16 days, the infrastructure was vastly improved too. The umbilical Sea-to-Sky highway between Whistler and Vancouver was dramatically overhauled, while the creation of world-class training facilities will undoubtedly progress winter sports for the ensuing generations.

Want to learn how to drive a piste basher?

As like many of you, I never look at the back of a piste map. All you’re interested in is which run goes where and almost as importantly, where the on-mountain restaurants are for the well earned 11 ‘o’ clock hot chocolate & plate of “frites” at lunch time. However, upon recent inspection of the back of the Serre Chevalier piste map you could be missing out on valuable information!
