Beginning to feel the cold? Well while we may have to endure the cold, wet weather, the Alps are experiencing some recent snowfall that is getting us really excited about the upcoming season.
  • Switzerland has had some very impressive snow fall with Zermatt boasting around 20cm of fresh snow, and the glacier set to be open for the 20th of October
  • A massive 50cm of snow is forecasted for some of the Austrian resorts this week
  • French resorts are also reporting snowfall, with Avoriaz 1800 showing 15cm in the village already, and Tignes with  an impressive 35cm on the Grande Motte.
  • Across the pond, the 10th of October also marked the first day of snow in Heavenly. Whiteouts have also been reported in KeystoneCopper and Snowbird. Here’s a little video to show you what’s to come:
There is some slightly warmer weather forecast for next week so this snow may not last, but we are hoping this is a sign of great things to come for the winter season. Here in Scotland we are pleased to report enough snow fell in Cairngorm on Monday to have snowball fights yesterday!
