Six Resorts in Eight days
For the past 10 years Ski Independence has worked in conjunction with the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Magazine to help organise their annual readers’ ski trip. Over the years, hundreds of satisfied customers have enjoyed these organised and great value trips to resorts including Banff, Fernie, Steamboat, Aspen, Telluride and Whistler just to name a few. On the 1st February this year 45 readers, along with Annika and Eve from Ski Independence, packed their bags and headed for the western state of Utah to ski 6 of the State’s 14 ski resorts.

Accompanied by Olympian skier Martin Bell, magazine Editor Henry Druce and Executive Editor Dave Watts the excited group made their way from London Heathrow to Salt Lake City. A short 45 minute bus transfer later and they had arrived at their destination; the Park City Peaks Hotel. Based in Park City for 9 nights, the group were able to ski 6 different resorts, all less than an hour’s drive from the hotel.
The quiet pistes of Solitude
Accompanied daily by local mountain guides, lots of sunshine and a whole lot of enthusiasm the group went out in search of the legendary Utah powder. Although this winter has not seen the ‘best’ snowfall in the area, piste conditions have remained good and with the vast amount of terrain available to ski, there was still some of the famous dry, light powder to be found! In 8 days skiing the group visited Park City, Deer Valley, the Canyons, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta, and were lucky enough to be joined along the way by a couple of other familiar faces, Olympian skiers Heidi Voekler and Kaylin Richardson.
