Early Season Skiing – France November 2013
Nikki and Nicole from our reservations team have just returned from a few days in the French Alps where they managed to visit a lot of resorts, stopped in on many of our featured properties and also managed to get some fantastic early season skiing and snowboarding in. Here’s a round-up from Nikki and some great photos from Nicole.
Working with Ski Independence definitely has its perks, and this week we were lucky enough to take part in a fam trip to France. Not only to familiarise ourselves with the resorts, but to see all the amazing properties where we send our clients every winter. Snowfall in Europe and Resorts Open in North America
A weekend of snowfall makes for a happy and excited Ski Independence team!
STOP PRESS – Whistler and Big White are opening earlier than scheduled this coming Saturday, 16th November, due to excellent early snow cover!
Snow has fallen in the Alps already this autumn, but has generally melted away with fluctuating temperatures in September and October. Now though, snow that falls has a good chance of sticking around – and with a huge storm and up to 30cm of fresh snow having fallen all over the Alps over the weekend, there’s a good chance this latest snow is here to stay and we will have a great base for the winter!
Over in North America, several resorts are now up and running for the 13/14 season including Breckenridge, Mammoth and Lake Louise.
