Après Ski in Sunday River

As Sunday River is a small, self-contained resort with a strong emphasis on families it is fairly quiet during the week. It attracts a lot of weekend traffic from Boston so things do get busier starting Friday night. The après-ski bars still have a great atmosphere - Bumps Pub or the Brew Haus are good places to line them up. Dinner at Rosetto's Ristorante is recommended for great Italian and the Summit Hotel's in-house restaurant - Legends has a fine dining menu and very good wine list.

Taking a drive down to nearby Bethel will expand your dining options and give you a taste of old New England. Its clapboard houses look especially pretty in the winter months and only add to its storybook charm.
