Old School Ski Charm Nick Laver, Product Manager

"Killington is the East’s biggest ski resort and offers amazing terrain for all levels: great long, wide green trails perfect for learning, lots of wicked blue cruisers and a host of unfeasibly tricky double black diamond bump runs. I love Killington – it’s unpretentious, is much bigger than you’d expect, the snow is guaranteed, the trails are long, and whilst the après-ski rocks it’s also a great family destination. "

Après Ski in Killington

There is no discernible centre to Killington resort, the many hotels; bars and restaurants are scattered on the fringes of the mountain approach road. You will not be able to stroll between venues in the Vermont moonlight - hopping into the car (standard issue on all Killington holidays) is the easiest way to get about. Alternatively the free shuttle bus is very efficient. Most venues have a family feel, Pizza Jerks is excellent, as is The Garlic.

Recommendations include the Wobbly Barn which offers great bands, hand-cut aged Angus steaks and a soup and salad bar as well as the Pickle Barrel - "The House that Rocks Killington" The Pickle Barrel Nightclub has four bars, three levels, two stages and provides one blowout night after night.

If you can tear yourself away from the hills long enough, take a trip to nearby Woodstock regularly been voted 'America's Most Quaint Town'. This is not the town of music festival fame, more Norman Rockwell than Joe Cocker.
