Copper Ski Holiday Guide

Après Ski in Copper

Copper’s resort base has had a complete overhaul in recent years to create a superbly designed resort centre with a myriad of attractions to enjoy around the compact pedestrian village.

Shops, restaurants, cafes and bars are to be found around every corner, and one of the resort’s great strengths is its Athletic Centre with excellent sports facilities and a gigantic ball pool for the kids.

On that family vein, Copper’s childcare facility will look after and entertain your children during the night, free of charge, so long as parents spend just $30 or more in the resort.

Dining in Copper

C.B. Grille

For a special meal out try the The C. B. Grille which serves up some of the best cuisine you’ll find in Colorado’s High Country. With an elegant and intimate environment the menu features superb dishes such as roast rack of elk encrusted in herbs, smoked wild Alaskan salmon with hickory accents, and wonderful chicken breast dishes. Steak is another forte, cooked on a wood fired grill.

Endo's Adrenaline Cafe

Endo's Adrenaline Cafe(http://www.endoscafe.ccom) located in the village centre and at the base of the slopes by the Eagle chairlift is a good choice for filling meals at any time of the day. Popular choices include gourmet salads, the signature Mondo Nachos, turkey and steak dishes and a range of homemade soups which changes daily. Endo’s is also one of Copper’s top après ski spots with the partying beginning at 3pm daily, with special Coors promotions and discount deals at the weekend.

Imperial Palace

For a taste of Chinese food in Colorado it has to be the Imperial Palace with Mandarin, Taiwanese and Szechuan cuisine a speciality. Located in the Village Square Plaza and open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant ensures that all dishes are as healthy as possible with little or no sodium added, no MSG and low cholesterol. To get the party started each night there’s a two for one special on local beers.

Pizza Carlo

Pizza Carlo, located at Copper Junction in the centre village isn’t just the best pizza joint in the resort, it also offers huge calzones, hot deli sandwiches and subs as well as great salads. The signature pizzas, available whole or by the slice, are a particular treat. The restaurant has a full bar and serves daily specials.

Storm King Lounge

It may seem a little surreal to be eating superb sushi in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, but the Storm King Lounge’s sushi bar is the place to go for great Japanese food in Copper. Open every day of the week for fresh nigiri and other specials. It’s open from 5pm to 9pm week days and to 10pm at weekends.
