Lunch On The Slopes
Definitely, a must do is l’Etable. This is a refurbished stable on Sodoleuvre/Gryon slope which features donkeys, geese & goats for your entertainment whilst dining!
Serving up local specialities and a great selection of wines, lunch with wine and coffee/mineral water goes for around 40 CHF and a light lunch & drink at approximately 20/25 CHF.
Col de Bretaye
Easy to reach from both pedestrians and skiers (funicular terminal), reasonable prices of all range
Col de Soud
Famous for their home made crispy röstis topped with many different choice of garnishes, lunch 35 CHF including wine, water and coffee.
Dinner On The Slopes
Dinner on the slopes isn't possible unless you organise a private train package. However, it is a popular choice for groups. Approximately 1200 CHF for a return private train journey. You can then indulge in a fondue menu in Col de Bretaye or Lake of Bretaye restaurants.
After eating you can enjoy a torchlit downhill ski. This is around 20 CHF per person which includes torches and security by professional instructors.

Dinner in the resort
This restaurant serves French and Italian cuisine, specialising in Alpine flower cuisine made of local herbs, plants, roots. A 3 courses menu will cost around 55 CHF. The food is beautifully presented and the use of edible flowers makes it something a little bit different.
Le Soleil, Chesières
Fine dining in a nice French/mountain brasserie style, 13points on Gault&Millau gastronomic guide. A 3 course meal is approximately 55-75 CHF. 15 minutes walk on the high street or short shuttle 2 minutes transfer, distance about 2km from Villars centre.
Rotisserie des Alpes
The Rotisserie des Alpes is definitely a good choice, great perch fillets from the lake, steak tartare, choice of rostis, flamed roasted chicken (ask for cryogen show when serving it). Ideally located in the centre of Villars. They also serve cheese fondue. Price range between 35 and 55 CHF for a 3 course dinner.
Hotel du Golf, restaurant “Feu de Bois”
Separate from hotel entrance, this recently renovated restaurant is ideal for a group and is centrally located. Specialities include raclette cooked on the fire place, cheese and meat fondue, Grilled meat and salad buffet. Prices range from 35 to 55 CHF for a 3 course menu depending on the choice.
Nicely rustic chalet style decorated restaurant located at 3km away from Villars - a short 8 minute taxi ride. Wide choice of pizzas, grilled meat, pastas, fajitas at very reasonable prices and good quality. Price range 28-40 CHF for a 3 course menu.
