Rusutsu has a compact purpose-built village and three great ski mountains, offering 1900 vertical feet and 4200 acres of Japan’s driest snow. The resort is about one hour from Niseko and again is dominated by nearby Mount Youtei, a classic-shaped extinct volcano similar to the iconic Mount Fuji.
