Niseko Ski Holiday Guide
Activities in Niseko
As well as the fantastic skiing in Niseko, there is a wide choice of other activities available including snow mobiling and of course Onsen.
Onsen in Niseko
Japan has thousands of natural hot springs, which are a fantastic way to ease the muscles after a day of powder skiing. There are plenty of onsen in Hirafu including one at the Hilton in Niseko Village and several in Annupuri, which includes one of the only mixed onsen in the area. However, it is worth knowing in advance that it is obligatory to bathe naked in an onsen - apart from the mixed onsen where the girls are provided with a one piece. The onsen is truely a unique experience and no visit to Japan would be complete however without visiting the local onsen.
Mt Yotei
Mt Yotei is Hokkaido's answer to Mt Fuji and provides a stunning backdrop to any photo - quite unlike anything you'd find elsewhere. Mt Yotei is an active volcano which stands at 1,898 metre high. If you fancy a day off the slopes, then you can organise a guided hike to the summit which takes between 4-6 hrs depending on your fitness.
