Val Thorens Ski Resort Information
The Slopes
- Beginner
- Five Star
There are plenty of beginner's slopes around the resort centres. The local Ecole du Ski Francais will get complete beginners on their feet in no time.
- Intermediate
- Five Star
Intermediate skiers will be able to go over the ridge and down into the Méribel and Courchevel valleys. The world's biggest linked ski area is sure not to disappoint intermediate skiers looking to improve their technique, however the Vallée des Belleville itself has some great blue and red runs, such as the exhilarating, long run from the top of the Cime de Caron.
- Advanced
- Five Star
Advanced skiers will love the black run down the front of the 3200m Cime de Caron and the wonderful run back into the Maurienne valley to Orelle. The La Masse gondolas from Les Menuires also provide great cruising runs with wonderful snow sure conditions. For freestyle skiers there are two terrain parks in the Vallée De Belleville to choose from.
- Snowboarding
- Five Star
There are terrain parks both at the bottom of the Cime de Caron area and in Les Menuires. The large amount of fairly flat trails may put off some boarders, however with the huge amount of on and off piste terrain to explore there is something for everyone.
