Mammoth Mountain in California is always one of the first resorts to open and this year was no exception. We sent journalist James Cove to test the trails earlier this month:
James said Mammoth was “already living up to its reputation for snow” during his first skiing trip of the season.
Breaking records already, Lake Louise has had 264cm of snow so far this winter, making it the best start to their season since 1950/51!
With such great conditions Alpe d’Huez is opening this coming weekend, the 2nd and 3rd of December:

Finally, to Val d’Isère where two of our Ski Specialists, Gordon and Aodhan, spent a day on the slopes earlier this week. Here they are, making the rest of the team green with envy at their great day’s skiing. Not only was the snow fresh and fluffy, but the sun was shining too – what more could you ask for?
With the cold temperatures and more snowfalls in the forecast for the next week, the ski season begins! It’s not too late to arrange your tailor-made trip, just call our team of Ski Specialists on 0131 243 8097 for their expert advice on where to ski and where to stay this winter.
