Ischgl Ski Holiday Guide

“You may head for Ischgl because you prefer the ‘apres’ to the ‘ski’ but don’t miss out on the great skiing. Ischgl may have the party town reputation, but the ski area is up there with the best too – what’s more: if everyone else is hung-over you can have those first few runs of the day to yourself!” Karen, Reservations Consultant.

If you're looking to ski and party, then Ischgl will tick your boxes. Located within the snowsure Silvretta ski area, the skiing on offer is first class and will cater for all abilities. The Silvretta area lift pass gives access to 218km of pistes between Ischgl and neighbouring Galtur, which is linked by a free shuttle bus.

Beginners will enjoy the nursery slopes at Idalp whilst intermediates will be spoilt with the long cruisy runs of Palinkopf to Gampenalp. The off piste in the Silvretta area is amazing, but it is always recommended to ski with a guide.

Off the slopes, it'll be hard to find a resort which beats the apres ski which goes on in Ischgl. Hosting opening and closing parties every year with big name acts such as the Killers, Pussycat Dolls & Rihanna, Ischgl knows how to party! Bars are lively from about 3pm and you'll often find dancing girls on the tables later on!

If you're looking for a more relaxing post ski experience head to the Silvretta Centre for a massage and sauna.
